Hello! My name is Carmel and welcome to my online home!
I was born and bred in Manila, the capital of the beautiful Philippine archipelago. By profession, I’m a marketer. I am also a daughter, a sister, a blogger, and a friend.
I love to travel. I travel to learn more about life and to awe myself with the beauty of this world and the uniqueness of people.
I love art, especially those that come in the form of books, theater, television and Broadway music. I am amazed by how they are able to beautifully capture life, specifically its realities and the emotions that come with them.
I like drinking wine. And Yogi tea.
I used to hate any form of physical activity until I discovered yoga. I can go on and on about how it has changed my life!
I take delight in conversations that range from silly to deep and meaningful. People say I have strong beliefs. And yes, I feel very strongly about certain things like female empowerment and other societal issues.
I’m quite independent and love doing things on my own, BUT I cannot live without God and my family.
I’ve made tons of mistakes in my life. I’ve stumbled, fallen, and got my heart broken several times and a lot of them were because of my own doing. My close friends keep on telling me that the things I’ve been through were unfathomable, and that I’m so blessed I was able to surpass them all. And I’d like to believe that. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from these experiences, it’s that there is always a second, a third, and a fourth chance to get back up. These experiences have also taught me that one has to be empowered enough to course through the hardships of life, and that real empowerment can only stem from self-love, and self-love can only result from fully receiving God’s love. And this is exactly why I blog — to hopefully show my readers that there is a always purpose for our pain, and a rainbow after the hehehe.
I’m in the process of rebranding my blog as I’ll be taking it to a new direction. In the meantime, enjoy navigating through the old entries (though I’ll start writing new ones from time to time).
May something awesome happen to you today.
