The Single Woman by Mandy Hale

Fuel and Drive - Inspiration

Mandy Hale’s past hasn’t been easy, may it be on the work front, in relationships, and in life in general.  She has gone through failure after failure but managed to pick herself up and decided to use those experiences to inspire others.  That’s when she became “The Single Woman”.

I’ve been a follower of her blog and Twitter account for quite some time, and when her book came out, I immediately bought an electronic copy way before it became available on National Bookstore.  The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass, is NOT an instructional guide on how to let go of an ex or a past relationship.  It’s simply about living your best life.  Also, it’s not just for single ladies like me — teenagers, married women, and even men can pick up a thing or two from this book.

Journey On Board Workshop – January 4

I was blessed to be given the opportunity to conduct a Journey On Board Workshop to a batch of talented young scholars last January 4.  The workshop was very apt for the New Year as they were given time to look back on the past year (on their blessings, their regrets) and map out their goals for this year by creating their own Journey Boards.

Their goals include several aspects of their journeys — spiritual, family, social, academics, and recreational (hobbies, sports).  I am inspired by these girls’ drive to excel not only in school but in these other areas as well.

To those who have made the January 4 workshop possible, THANK YOU!  It means a lot to me as well as to these girls.  I am praying that they work hard to achieve the goals they set for themselves this 2014.  I’m very excited for the upcoming workshops this year!
