It’s the last weekend before Christmas and I’m down to my last few posts on Christmas gift ideas! These two gift suggestions I’m about to share are perfect for your relatives and friends who are at least one of the following:
- Into health and wellness
- Fitness buffs
- Planning on becoming healthier and more active
- Still deciding on which particular physical activity to engage in
- Tired and stressed from work
I’m oftentimes the “tired and stressed” person, and being tired and stressed does get in the way of my goal of becoming healthy and well. These two gifts, though, have helped me throughout the year.
The Gift of Yoga
Let me debunk a popular yoga myth: You don’t have to be flexible. I am far from flexible but I do yoga because it helps me in so many ways. It helps me become physically stronger, emotionally calmer, and for some reason — kinder, more patient and compassionate (no joke). Much has been said about the physical benefits of yoga, but I like how it teaches mindful living and balance in all aspects of life.
I go to Urban Ashram Yoga 2-3 times a week after work. Urban Ashram believes that yoga is for everyone, including non-flexible people like me, haha. They have a holiday promo which you can get for your friends or for yourself this Christmas — a 5-class pass and a 15-day unlimited pass for only Php 1500! They have branches in Brixton Kapitolyo, BGC and Makati. Trust me, this is one of the things I look forward to at the end of a busy work day because it really does wonders for me. For more details on the promo, visit their Facebook page.
I get really excited when I have new workout clothes. It makes me looking forward to using them and in effect, also makes me look forward to my next yoga class! I was happy to discover Atsui Philippines and how their clothes are comfortable, chic, and affordable!
Their items are half the price of the imported brands but of the exact same quality! The yoga clothes I got from them are my favorite to date! They are available in Zalora and at Urban Ashram branches.
Wishing everyone a meaningful Christmas and a happier, healthier, and stress-free 2016!
